Dogs of Valnova began with a simple idea: provide the kind of pet and home care we'd want for our own household.

After retiring from federal careers spanning law enforcement, continuity of operations, and emergency management, we moved to Idaho and quickly fell in love with Valnova. As we became part of the community, we saw an opportunity to create a professional, relationship-based pet care service focused entirely on our neighbors.

Throughout our careers, we were trusted with responsibilities that required preparation, attention to detail, reliability, and clear communication. Today, those same principles guide how we care for pets, homes, and the families who place their trust in us.

But our story isn't only about professional experience.

We've shared our lives with dogs for many years, including two wonderful rescue dogs who reminded us every day that every pet deserves patience, understanding, and individualized care. Like many pet owners, we've experienced the joy, companionship, and unconditional love that dogs bring to a household, and we understand how important it is to find someone you trust when you can't be there yourself.

We genuinely enjoy getting to know the pets we care for. We believe every dog and cat has their own personality, preferences, routines, and quirks, and taking the time to understand them is one of the most important parts of providing exceptional care.

We intentionally limit the number of households we serve so we can maintain the level of care and attention our clients expect. By focusing on quality rather than volume, we're able to build strong relationships and provide a more personal experience for both pets and their families.

Whether we're walking a dog, caring for a puppy, staying overnight, providing vacation care, or looking after a home while a family travels, our goal remains the same: to provide peace of mind through thoughtful, dependable care.
